North Yellowstone
is Horseback Riding Country

Horseback Group Yellowstone Park, MT

Come ride with us in North Yellowstone ~ some of the west's best horseback country in view of the historic Yellowstone National Park from the northern gate.

Horseback riding doesn't get much better than trail rides in Gallatin National Forest and the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness, just north of Yellowstone Park. Gardiner Montana, the gateway town at the park's north entrance, is ideal for saddling up for guided trail rides and pack trips into the majestic Montana countryside.

Horseback Yellowstone, operated by Flying Pig Adventures and based in historic Gardiner, is owned and operated by experienced local outfitters ready to help you add an extraordinary horseback adventure to your Yellowstone area vacation. The convenient Flying Pig Camp Store, located right on Hwy 89 (Scott St.) in the middle of town, becomes your base for fun and local discovery, both in and out of Yellowstone Park.

Your horse is experienced on the trails and terrain in Yellowstone country ~ ensuring your steed will be calm and confident for your ride.

Hell's A-Roarin' Outfitters, Ranch and lodge, your horseback riding hosts, have the area's best string of horses for daily and overnight rides. Everyone is welcome ~ whether you're an experienced horseman, or novice rider. Our horses are trained and well cared-for by working cowboys in Gardiner and Jardine Montana. And the horses are carefully selected to match a riders' stature and ability.

Exploring on Horseback

Yellowstone, the World's first National Park, with famous landmarks including Old Faithful Geyser, stunning Yellowstone Falls and idyllic Yellowstone Lake, make it one of the top five most visited National Parks.

Horseback riding may well be the best way to enjoy the area, enabling you to discover sites and wildlife unseen by visitors traveling in cars.

Longer rides allow horseback riders to discover more remote sections of the Yellowstone ecosystem, and are best for spotting birds and wildlife. Full-day rides also include a cowboy's saddlebag lunch at a leisurely mid-day rest stop.
